Deposits & Payments

Many of our items in the booking system require a 10% deposit, which is refundable if we are not able to accommodate your travel request.

While our system is NOT directly connected to all of our vendors, if we are not able to secure your space, we will attempt to book you on the similar travel companies/hotels/lodges/tours & offer alternatives – which may result in a price difference (up or down).  If this is not acceptable to you, we will refund you in full – no penalty.

ATD accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa. 

All cruisetours require a 10% deposit for us to begin the booking process, and validate the actual package price (due to non-contracted items like air availability).  Upon confirmation of tour items, an Alaska Travel Desk designer will reach out to you with the proposed cruisetour itinerary and the full price, at which full payment will be due to confirm all space.

Final payment is variable based on the cruisetour.

Most airfare is non-refundable.  Change fees may apply for date, routing, airline, and name changes.  

ATD can void tickets within 24 hours of purchase when accompanied by our travel service fee.   Tickets issued on FRIDAY can be voided/changed up to Monday at 4PM Alaska time.

Name changes for flights operated & ticketed on American Airlines are $50 per person.

All cruise bookings will require a deposit payable within 24 hour to 7 days after booking.  Alaska Travel Desk also charges a $125 refundable planning fee for all cruise bookings, which will be refunded to the original form of payment within 7 days of sailing, or applied to your cruise cabin as an onboard credit (most cruise lines).

Many cruise fares are now non-refundable, but do allow changes depending on the line and the fare paid.

Final payment for cruises are typically 120 days prior to departure.

Some hotels allow us to book & hold rooms for you with just a credit card guarantee, but our lowest & best rates typically require prepayment.    Change & cancellation fees vary by the hotel.   Most hotels now require at least a 48 hour notice to change or cancel your room.
