Just finished doing our price checks for the Alaska 2026 season and we’re seeing a LOT of open inventory still with a handful of cruise lines. Holland America seems to be the pack leader when it comes to full ships, as we’re not seeing a whole lot left compared to previous years. Holland doesn’t offer the swankiest or newest ships, but they focus on the itinerary, land tours, and food with a traditional cruising setup. Princess continues to drop rates on interior cabins, while their balconies are pretty much all gone; Carnival continues to be among the HIGHEST priced Alaska offering compared to others, and Cunard is still dropping pricing as we get closer to sailing.
Disney is also dropping pricing on interior & oceanview cabins, although $3,000 per person is still rich for a balcony cabin on the Wonder!
MSC continues to have the best pricing in the premium sector, with Aurea Balcony cabins going for as low as $1,300 per person – which is a steal considering you get access to the exclusive & private Top Sail sundeck, on-demand dining, and access to Poesia’s thermal spa.
The lowest rates are still on the cross-gulf sailings, linking Anchorage and Vancouver. Don’t let these sailings scare you away – there’s plenty of flights out of Anchorage / Vancouver so don’t assume airfare is always more expensive compared to Seattle. Plus, we still have plenty of room on our railtours to Denali!
MSC pricing on Aurea Balcony cabins are a HUGE value compared to other lines – including access to the expanded Top 15 exclusive sun deck, which makes watching our scenery go by much more pleasant!
